Have you heard of the new app for the Phoenix area?  I recently had the chance to give it a try and I really enjoyed the ease of ordering from my computer.  Our market is still fairly new, so the choices were limited in my area, but one of our favs was on there. helps […]

Arizona Museum for Youth

Last week I went on a preschool field trip to the Arizona Museum of Youth in downtown Mesa. The museum is a fun hands-on museum geared toward children. Right when you enter the museum there is a playroom for children four and under. This was definitely our favorite part of the museum. There are lots […]

Small Business Saturday

I think it’s important to shop local and with all the hustle and bustle of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, I think many of us only think about the big box stores. Small Business Saturday is a movement created by American Express that takes place on Saturday November 26 – sandwiched between Black Friday and […]

Gilbert Riparian Preserve

The Gilbert Riparian Preserve is a 110 acre island of wonder and intrigue right in the middle of suburbia. That may sound a little exaggerated, but trust me, the farther back into the preserve you go, the more you will forget you are in civilization at all. It is an amazing place. My children and I visited the preserve recently for […]

Ever since my daughter was little, we’ve taken her to see Santa and more recently we’ve started going to Bass Pro for Santa’s Wonderland.  The first time we went because it was close to home and free.  Can’t beat that!!!  However, after that first visit, we decided we would never go any where else.  They […]

5 Myths About Head Lice

So, this isn’t a super glamorous topic, but lice is a big deal in schools and now that school is in full swing we need to be more diligent in talking to our kids and checking them for lice occasionally. Sensitive topics aren’t fun, but I found this infotoon funny and actually learned that lice […]

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix

Our family recently visited the Children’s Museum of Phoenix and had a great time. The museum offers exhibits for children of all ages and is a place for fun and learning rolled into one. There are exhibits dealing with science, cooking, art, and more. Almost everything is hands-on and interactive and your children will enjoy themselves.  My children’s favorite exhibit is the 3 story Schuff-Perini Climber which is pictured below. The climber is so big […]
