Krispie Kisses for Valentine’s Day

These giant rice krispie “kisses” are the perfect surprise for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day!

An easy Valentine treat that's sure to please!

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Didn’t we just have Christmas?!

And since we just had Christmas, we’re on a tighter budget for this particular holiday. Here’s a great way to wow your sweetheart (or friend, teacher, co-worker, etc.) without breaking the bank! The principal at my son’s school has a huge crush on Rice Krispie Treats which lead me to create this budget-friendly sweet. One batch makes 4 giant “kisses”.

All you need are the basic ingredients for Rice Krispie Treats: butter, marshmallows and rice cereal.

Just a few simple ingredients will make these fabulous Valentine's treats!

I added a few extras to take these to the next level! I put in vanilla flavoring and sprinkles for color. I recently discovered Reese’s Spreads (heaven in a jar!) so I had to add that, too, as a finishing touch. You’ll also need a funnel.

Here’s how I make these amazing Krispie Kisses:

How to make basic Rice Krispie treats.

1 – Melt the butter in a large sauce pan

2 – Add the marshmallows and vanilla

3 – Stir until the ‘mallows melt

4 – Add the rice cereal

Kick up you Krispies with some delicious additions.

5 – Add some sprinkles (totally optional; just adds some fun color)

6 – Stir until cereal is well coated

7 – Spray the inside of a funnel with non-stick spray

8 – Fill funnel with cereal mixture

Usa a funnel to form giant "kisses".

9 – Press cereal firmly into funnel

10 – Drop onto wax paper to cool

11 – After a few minutes, reform the tops to look more like a Hershey’s kiss

12 – Cover with Reese’s Spread or drizzle with white chocolate

Wrap each "kiss" in foil and add a tag to finish it off.

13 – Place “kiss in the center of an 18” piece of foil

14 – Bring sides of foil up to wrap “kiss”

15 – Print the “flags” (get them by clicking here) and place the blank end inside the foil

16 – Close remaining foil and fold around flag to cover “kiss” completely

Your sweetheart will love the surprise in these kisses!

That’s it! You have an adorable, fun and inexpensive way to wow your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day.
