Mamma Mia! is in town this week and it’s the perfect mother-daughter date. If you have a teen or older daughter…grab her and go!
I wouldn’t say this musical is the best show ever, but it was fun and everyone enjoyed it. The music was, of course, from ABBA and there was quite a bit of spandex. There was one part where the conductor…yes the actual orchestra conductor…is involved with the show.
If you decide to take your daughter please know that this show should probably have a PG-13 rating for sexual innuendo and adult subject matters. My daughter is 12 and there were a couple times I wish she hadn’t been there, but I know some of it went over her head too. She loved it anyway and I’m glad she went with me.
Warning: Don’t leave at the end. Stay until after actors take a bow. You’ll be glad you did!!!
“MAMMA MIA! is the ultimate feel-good show that has audiences coming back again and again to relive the thrill. Now it’s your turn to have the time of your life at this smash-hit musical that combines ABBA’s greatest hits, including “Dancing Queen,” “S.O.S.,” “Super Trouper,” “Take A Chance on Me” and “The Winner Takes It All,” with an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship. Whether it’s your first visit or your fourteenth, see the show that has the whole world coming back for more, because every time feels like the first time at MAMMA MIA!.”
Mamma Mia! is coming to ASU Gammage December 6-11, 2016 and tickets are on sale now! So grab your best girlfriends and try not to sing along too much during their farewell tour.
