Moms' Night Out Movie Review

Moms’ Night Out Movie

Genre: Family Comedy
Length: 98 minutes
Rating: PG

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong? MOMS’ NIGHT OUT is an endearing true-to-life family comedy that celebrates the beautiful mess called parenting.

“Heartwarming and hilarious film that is great for the whole family.” – Brianna Hope Beaton, KIDSFIRST.ORG

“This movie has a sweetness you don’t see every day.” – Chris Carpenter, CBN.COM

My Thoughts:

I am not a huge movie person. I tend to not have the attention span to just sit and watch a movie. I need to fidget and move and do something.

I am also extremely picky about my movies. A movie that may be rated the funniest movie among everyone else will probably be the dumbest or most boring movie I have ever seen.

I am a real critic.

With that disclaimer put out there – I loved Moms’ Night Out!

I love Sarah Drew (April from Grey’s Anatomy) so it was great to see her in a role other than Kepner.

I loved that she was an aspiring blogger.

I loved that Trace Adkins was in it and it was the perfect role for him.

I loved the entire overall feel of the movie!

There was a little bit of what hubby and I would describe as a “religious undertone” but it wasn’t in your face or a turn off.

The movie takes you through all kinds of emotions from happy to worried, sad and teary eyed to inspired.

It really is a great family movie. I’m not sure my kids would enjoy watching it, but it was a movie that I would not be worried about watching with them in the room.

Hubby liked the movie as well and I wouldn’t consider it a chick flick. I think it was something you could watch together because it was like watching a real life family on screen and I know many stay-at-home moms can definitely relate to the entire story.

I have to add – because I tend to not find comedies to be funny all the time – I really did find the comedy in this one and there were a few times that I laughed out loud!

I give Moms’ Night Out two big thumbs up and am ready to watch it again!
