Shaun the Sheep Movie Review

Shaun the Sheep is not one to just follow the flock, he is the leader!  My children have grown up watching Shaun the Sheep and have seen every cartoon mutliple times.  So when the previews for the movie came out everyone was super excited.  I wasn’t too sure what to expect, knowing there is no talking in the cartoons….how would they pull off a full length feature with no talking?  Would it work?  And the answer is TOTALLY!  It’s a charming movie and it’s just as funny and loveable as the cartoons. There are some funny parts that only the parents will appreciate…like a reference to Silence of the Lambs.  It went right over the kids’ heads, but all the adults got a big chuckle….you’ll know it when you see it.

My family adored the movie and my son asked to see it again as we were leaving the theater!  I hope you’ll go see it too.  And as for the smaller kids….the family behind us had younger kids (probably ages 2-4) and those girls were laughing the entire time.  The Shaun the Sheep Movie is perfect for the whole family!

“When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.”
