When It Snows In the Desert (Superstition Mountains)

Superstition MountainsI have lived in the desert most of my life and have seen it snow several times. When I saw the snow on the Superstition Mountains today I grabbed my camera, jumped into my Nissan Versa, and hauled myself up to the corner for a picture. Yes, that is how much I love EVMG readers.

One corner near my home was slammed with traffic. Since the snow is so rare and never lasts, we desert dwellers go crazy.  When it snows in the desert, out motto is “have camera, will travel.”  This corner is usually pretty quiet.

While I was driving around looking for a good shot, I ended up down a road I have driven often. Today that road was a muddy mess and I almost sank into it. I admit to being a little scared.

I wanted to send a special shout out to the guy in the big red 4×4 who purposely sprayed my car with mud. No worries. I was able to get most of it off my driving through some puddles.
