Superstition Shadows Aquatic Center

Water playSuperstition Shadows Aquatic Center, aka the AJ public pool, is a fun and affordable place to take the kiddos swimming. Some of the features include: two water slides, diving boards, a zero-depth entry, a tumble bucket water feature, an Olympic-sized pool for laps, a pipe fountain feature, and a whirlpool. Other than water, outside food and drinks are not permitted. However, there is a snack bar with very cheap prices. Photo

The pool is located at 1091 W. Southern Avenue in Apache Junction, which is between Ironwood Drive and Idaho Road. Public swim hours are Monday through Sunday, 12:00pm to 6:00pm. One good feature about this pool is that it is cheaper than most other public pools in the area. The price for children 17 and younger is $1, while the adult price is just $2.

Children love this pool and can stay for hours. The pool is part of a larger complex called Superstition Shadows Park, which includes an award-winning skate park, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a baseball field, and a playground area. It is a great place for a day of fun-filled family activities.
