Lean toward casual get togethers. Always be willing to add a few more people, don’t leave anyone alone that you know about.
My best entertaining tip is to provide lots of alcohol.
Keep it simple and easy with make ahead foods so you can enjoy your guests.
try to have the foor prepared before guests arrive so u can spend time with them and not in the kitchen
TRy to have as much done the day before as possible!! Invite a co host to help

Dont’ get as hung up on the food preparation as being open and welcoming to people. There are many people the holiday is not a fun time, but you can try to remember a few. Keep your menu flexible enough so if you have a few more or less than expected, it won’t feel ruined in your mind. Have a good time. Enjoy!
Invite a mix of people.
Prep as much as you can ahead of time. Keep things simple, so you can spend time with family and friends and not in the kitchen the whole time.
I do lots of prep in advance and often have an interactive food like fondue or chili with toppings to let everyone customize their meal
