Spring has sprung in Arizona and for my family, that mean it’s time for some fun! Here are the 5 annual festivals we love to visit each year:

Chinese Lantern Festival

There's something for everyone at Arizona's annual Chinese Lantern Festival.

DATES: Feb. 19, 2015  –  Feb. 22, 2015

HOURS: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm every night

LOCATION: Rio Vista Community Park, 8866-A W. Thunderbird Rd in Peoria

COST: $5 – $15, children 5 and under are free

DETAILS: The Arizona Chinese Lantern Festival’s mission is to provide a cultural exchange through the beauty of art, ​entertainment, food, and cultural education.

Aloha Festival

The beauty of the hula is displayed at Arizona's annual Aloha Festival.

DATES: March 7, 2015 – March 8, 2015

HOURS: 10am – 5pm

LOCATION: Tempe Beach Park, on Mill Ave & Rio Salado Pkwy in Tempe

COST: Free

DETAILS: The annual Aloha Festival is a celebration of Hawaiian culture featuring music, dancing, entertainment, food, merchandise, crafts, and games for the entire family.

Ostrich Festival

The annual Ostrich Festival race DATE: March 13, 2015  –  March 15, 2015

HOURS: Friday = 2pm – midnight, Saturday = 10am – midnight, Sunday = 10am – 11pm

LOCATION: Tumbleweed Park, 745 E. Germann Rd in Chandler

COST: $7 – $10, children 4 and under are free, All Day Carnival Pass – $25, discounts available at Fry’s.

DETAILS: The annual Ostrich Festival features a 5K Fun Run and a parade along with music, entertainment, animal demonstrations, food, and special guests.

Scottish Highland Games Bringing Scotland to Arizona every year, the Highland Games are a family favorite!

DATES: March 21, 2015 – March 22, 2015

HOURS: 7:30am – 5:00pm

LOCATION: Steele Indian Park, 300 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix

COST: $5 – $17, children 5 and under are free

DETAILS: The annual Scottish Highland games showcase the culture of Scotland including traditional athletic events, Highland dancers, clan booths, food and clothing vendors, and bagpipe bands and drumlines.

Dragon Boat Festival Arizona's annual Dragon Boat Races are a family favorite!

DATES: March 28, 2015 – March 29, 2015

HOURS: 9am – 4pm

LOCATION: Tempe Town Lake Marina, 550 E. Tempe Town Lake, Tempe

COST: Free

DETAILS: The Dragon Boat Festival will feature 50 dragon boat racing teams from all over the world, both competitive and recreational dragon boat races, vendors, and Asian and Pacific inspired talented entertainment.
