Last week I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. I cannot say enough good things about this resort! Saying they spoil you would be a huge understatement. From the minute we arrived we felt like we were the only ones there. The staff opened the car door for both of us and led us to check-in. The bellhop welcomed my son with a whale float to use in the water that he got to keep.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is on 60 acres of beautiful manicured land. There are five pool, four restaurants, a nightlife lounge, a pool-side bar with a grill, a lagoon for fishing, an 18 hole golf course, and so much more.
After we checked in we were taken to our room by golf cart. We got to stay in a casita which was on one end of the property separate from the hotel. Our place was just awesome!
After getting settled we started to explore. The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort has a whole day’s worth of activities to do. When you get to your room they give you an itinerary of what is going on during your stay. My four-year-old was dying to go fishing so we headed over to Billy Bob’s Clubhouse where you can rent fishing poles. We also discovered they have a children’s program where you can drop your children off for a half day for $30 or a full day for $60. The program will feed the kids lunch also for an additional $15 if utilizing the half day and for no additional charge if utilizing the full day. We signed our son up for a half day the next morning so hubby and I could have some spa time.
We went fishing in the lagoon behind the main hotel which cost $5.00 to rent a pole and tackle. It was well worth it as my son was so excited when he caught a fish.
One of the coolest things at the Princess is the Techno water slides at night. There are also several fun activities pool-side including dive-in movies and marshmallow roasting. This does not even scratch the surface of what they offer all day long.
After exploring a little more we settled in at 9:15 and watch fire works. They do not hold back on these and they were absolutely marvelous!
We crawled into bed that night tired and happy. My son got a whole bed to himself. The beds at the Princess are soft with lots of pillow and a huge comforter. When he got in the bed this is all we could see:
He melted into the bed! It was great!
The next day we dropped our son off at Billy Bob’s and went to the spa. They do not allow photos in there for privacy concerns but they do they know how to spoil you. I got a facial, hubby got a sports massage, and we both got pedicures (that came with margaritas!).
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort also has aweome pool cabanas that you can rent for a day and with this Arizona sun I suggest it. The cabanas come with ice cream and water, a huge couch, a refrigerator, and a TV.
After the pool we got ourselves ready and went to La Hacienda for dinner.
I was a little worried because I have some food issues, but they were more than accommodating and what I got was well worth it. It just melted in my mouth. Props to Julio who was the best waiter ever!
With fireworks that night and LV bistro the next morning we left the hotel happy and more spoiled than we ever have been before.
