A couple weeks ago, I was invited to attend a movie sneak peek with my friend Laura from Pink Cake Plate. She is such a sweetie and blogs here in the Valley too, but is totally crafty (unlike yours truly). Honestly, I had not even heard about the movie when I was asked to go, so I went in with no expectations at all, but came out of the movie excited to take some of my besties to it when it comes out.
About Time is the newest movie from Richard Curtis, he’s the creator of Love Actually and Notting Hill which are some of my favorite movies! About Time has that same sort of funny, chic flick charm that we all love. It’s funny and what’s not to like about time travel.
As Tim celebrates his 21st birthday, he finds out that the men in his family have the ability to travel in time. He can’t rewrite history, but he can undo bad choices which help him win the heart of the girl of his dreams, Mary. Tim is able to create the perfect proposal, fix a bad situation, and saves his wedding from a horrible best man speech. However, there are some tricks to the time travel and some unspoken rules which can alter Tim’s future. I just love the character development in the movie and it will make you root for Tim and Mary the whole time. In the end, it’s all about making the most of each with or without time travel.
About Time is a romantic comedy and time travel movie all rolled into one hilarious and heart felt movie.
About Time opens today, November 8th, everywhere!

This movie is the perfect girl’s night out movie or even a date night if your man is up for it. Afterall, what guy wouldn’t love to travel through time to fix his mistakes. It’s not kid friendly as it’s rated R and for very good reason. There is language and sexual content that is not appropriate for children. Get a sitter and go out with your man or a group of your best girlfriends…you won’t be disappointed!
Disclaimer: I was invited to attend a sneak peak by my friend who writes at Pink Cake Plate, who was actually invited (I was her +1). I was not asked to do a review, nor do the movie peeps know that I am doing this…I just wanted to share with you.
