One of my favorite annual events in the east valley is the Arizona Renaissance Festival. I go every year and always have fun. The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 12-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast — all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure!
One of the best features of the Renaissance Festival is the food. My husband and kiddos love the giant turkey legs and the steak-on-a-stake. But don’t worry, if you are a vegetarian like me, there is still plenty to eat. The Renaissance Festival has Mediterranean food, pizza, onion rings and more.

There is no shortage of entertainment at the Renaissance Festival. My two favorite shows are the Joust and the Birds of Prey show. Just be careful not to take your turkey leg to the bird show (unless you want a close up meeting with a falcon).

One really fun feature that my family loves are all the rides. The rides are all powered by people and not by electricity. There is an over-sized rocking horse, a giant dragon slide, a merry-go-round, and much more.
