Come create and explore at the AZ Science Center with DINOSAURS IN MOTION and CREATE™
The last time I took my kids to the AZ Science Center they were just getting ready to open the DINOSAURS IN MOTION exhibit. My son’s friend had invited him to go and we had a blast, but it was so hard for them to see the dinos being set up and know that they couldn’t go into that section yet. It was literally opening the next day.
So when we were presented the opportunity to go again and this time SEE and PLAY with the dinosaurs, they were beyond thrilled!
From azscience.org, “DINOSAURS IN MOTION is an amazing blend of science, art and innovation using 14 magnificent, fully interactive, anatomically inspired, recycled life-size metal dinosaur sculptures by North Carolina artist, John Payne.”
Yes, you can move and control the dinosaurs. So super cool! The exhibit runs now through January 10th, so perfect for kids over winter break!
We were also invited to explore the CREATE™ resource center and learn about the amazing workshops they offer. In addition to workshops and programmed challenges set up by the staff, pass holders can work on their own projects at center wood shop, artistry hub, and electronics zone. My husband’s mind was going crazy thinking of all the projects that he now wants to do. The laser cutting and 3D printer were especially awesome to see in motion.
My boys loved the Star Wars themed projects that people had made.
