The current exhibit at the AZ Science Center is Da Vinci – The Genius and can I just say it is fantastic. I knew that Da Vinci was more than just the artist of the Mona Lisa and the The Last Supper, but I have to say that I was completely blown away by his inventions and ideas. They were way beyond his time and clearly the precursor of modern day tools.
Leonardo Da Vinci was an inventor, artist, scientist, anatomist, engineer, architect, sculptor and philosopher.
The exhibit is currently on display and will run through June 9, 2013. The exhibit is the most comprehensive Da Vinci exhibit touring the world. It brings to life his creations and shares insights into his genius mind.
Beautiful photos line the walls of the exhibit, while large displays show the complexity of his ideas. There are plenty of hands on activity’s for the kids. They can experience how the designs work.
The biggest highlights for me were the in depth analysis of the Mona Lisa and the video about The Last Supper painting. I want to share more with y’all but I don’t want to spoil the exhibit.
Head out to the AZ Science Center and check out the exhibit. It really was one of the best exhibits I’ve seen in a long time!
