Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival Review

Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival Review

Looking for family friendly fun this weekend? Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival is here at US Airways Center, September 27 & 28, 2014. My kids were so excited to go. My youngest is having his birthday soon and is totally smitten with Mickey and Minnie. It couldn’t be more perfect!  Not only do Mickey and the gang welcome you with all the classic Disney songs, they are joined by the characters of Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story with some fun dance numbers thrown in the mix.

I really liked that it wasn’t just the condensed versions of the movies, but rather cute bits thrown in. My older boys loved the Aladdin and Toy Story numbers, and even danced along to Ariel’s sisters singing “Single Ladies.” Jessie and Woody did a jump rope routine that was very cute. My 6 year-old was jumping up and down when he heard Goofy come out to “Who Let the Dogs Out.” I will say that I had just as much fun dancing and singing (probably embarrassingly so) and enjoyed the audience participation.

Per the norm at these type of kiddie events are the gift and souvenir stands. Prices weren’t astronomical and I was actually surprised. I had a blast and didn’t have to spend a lot taking my kids to a fun event. I would definitely recommend you going while it’s in town!
