Paddington 2: Movie Review

Paddington is nicely settled with the Brown family and everyone in the neighborhood loves him.  He spreads happiness where he goes.  He finds a pop-up book when looking for a present for his aunt, but a thief steals the book before he is able to buy it.   Paddington goes an adventure to find the thief so he can give it to his aunt on her 100th birthday celebration.

Paddington 2 is a lot better than the original movie.  The story is better, so is the character development.  It is charming and has a great message about the importance of family and showing kindness. There are a few scenes that could be scary or sad for young children, including the prison scenes of Paddington alone at night.  The prisoners seem scary when he first arrives, but he eventually befriends them all.

Paddington 2: Movie Review

Both of my children (13yo & 8yo) enjoyed Paddington 2 despite not liking the first one very much.

There was no questionable language, but there was a little violence and a few scenes that could be scary or sad for young or sensitive children. As always, know your children or see it first to make an informed decision.

Paddington 2 opens nationwide Friday (1/12).

There is a stinger during or after the credits….so don’t leave!
