Confession time: I will totally admit that quite often my house looks a tornado hit it. I have three boys under 6 years old, so try as a I might to entice them into Mary Poppins style clean up games it never quite works out. I will frequently use the saying that cleaning with kids in the house is like brushing your teeth while eating Oreos. Lucky for me, I was able to leave it to the experts at Queen of Maids, a locally owned business serving the Phoenix Arizona area. From start to finish, I truly received the royal treatment. Booking online is quick and easy with a their secure website, or you can book over the phone. I like the website set up because you can specify everything you want: rooms, frequency, and special attention to details like inside your oven or wet-wiping blinds. Once you book, you are sent a confirmation email, and your card is not charged until your service is complete.
The day of the service I was running around my house trying to straighten up so that the Queen of Maids staff could actually clean and not spend time picking up Legos off the floor. It completely surprised me when they were not only on time, but a few minutes early. Their teams are background checked and bring their own supplies. I was truly amazed at the level of professionalism and attention to detail. They went right to cleaning and worked for three hours, stopping only to ask mid-way if the side of the house that was finished was to my liking. I’m pretty sure the house had not been that clean since our first son was born.
I stayed home during the service and tidied up some of the other areas, then played with my sons in their clean bedroom. I briefly had to step out to pick up my son from school, but felt really comfortable with them in the house. Overall I was really impressed with the way they treated everything and respected my home. If you have ever considered a cleaning service but were hesitant because you were embarrassed over the state of affairs in your home, you can be at ease with Queen of Maids and their courteous staff. Their goal is to make sure you are totally satisfied and they even offer a 200% guarantee.
It was such a luxury to have everything so well taken care of! Our guest bathroom is used most often by my boys and even with frequent cleaning always seems to smell like they haven’t been aiming correctly. I was so elated that it smelled clean and the tub was sparkling. Giving them a bath that night was actually a joy. I was slightly embarrassed that they had to scrape food off my kitchen floor that the baby had rejected from his high chair. However it was worth it to know that I could safely let my child EAT off the floor, it was THAT CLEAN! (Not that I would, lol!) I literally did a dance in my clean house after they left.
I will add that it was really convenient to have everything taken care of beforehand through the online booking. If I had been a paying customer, I may have found it awkward to have to negotiate the services and payment portion. Having it all taken care of let me relax and just enjoy time with my boys, which is why I would pay for this kind of service in the first place. Plus, in all honesty, they are cleaning things that I rarely have time to do right. I may sweep under the entertainment center or mop the floors, but how often do I wipe off ceiling fan blades or floorboards?
I am happy to report that my family has managed to keep up the clean house (for the most part) and is picking up after themselves a lot more. It helped so much to have it all done and now we are just maintaining it until the next time!
