Apache Junction is one of the smallest towns in the East Valley but it has an awesome Parks and Recreation program. Each month Parks and Recreation offers a FREE family event. March’s event is a trail walk at Silly Mountain Park on Saturday, March 24th from 10:00-12:00am. The weather will be amaizng and the wildflowers have started blooming. During this trail walk your family will get a chance to learn about the desert’s vegetation with Park Rangers as your guide.
It should be a lot of fun. Your family can make their own trail mix and participate in a scavenger hunt. Make sure to bring water, wear sunscreen, and wear closed-toed shoes. Several great prizes will be raffled off including movies tickets, t-shirts, and a month-long family membership to the Apache Junction Multi-Generational Center.
