Tolmachoff Farms – Pumpkin Days and Corn Maze

Werecently visited the Pumpkin Days and Corn Maze at Tolmachoff Farms in Glendale. Yes, we realize thatGlendale is not in the east valley, but we figured it might  beworth the drive if we had enough fun (and we did). Both of our setsof kiddos had a grand time in the mini corn maze, riding a pony, shooting thetomato cannon, playing on the playground, petting the animals, and so muchmore. One especially neat feature the children loved were the cornboxes.  Think sand box, but with corn instead. They all laid down and made”corn angels.”  It was great. The farm offerstwo corn mazes: the mini maze which takes about 10 minutes, and the six acre family maze that takes about an hour. The hour longmaze sounded really fun as it involves a map and a search, but we opted forthe shorter maze due to the warmth of the day.

We really liked Tolmachoff Farms and believe that it is worth the drive to Glendale. The east valley has many of its own fall-themed attractions, but many of them are too small or too crowded. This farm seemed to be perfectly in the middle. The staff was very friendly, the farm was clean and pleasant, the atmosphere was peaceful and fun, and the activities were numerous.

The family-friendly farm turns into AZ Field of Screams at night. Our kiddos are a little too young for scary but if yours aren’t then you might want to check it out.

Overall, we had a great time and would recommend Tolmachoff Farms to your family.

  1. Guess I never thought as Arizona as having much of a corn maze industry. I noticed you do not open until October 1. Many corn mazes around the country open around early September. Is this a season or weather issue? I am surprised given the heat in Arizona that you have much of a corn crop at all. Is this your primary cash crop or is secondary to something else on your farm. You also have a low price compared to other corn mazes around the country.

    Nice family friendly website.

    Thanks
    corn maze friend

    • I think it’s a little of both…a season thing and also it’s too hot in September. Honestly, sometimes it’s too hot in October.
