I don’t know about your home, but in our house, finding produce that (a) the kids enjoy and (b) don’t break the bank can be a difficult task, but there is nothing I like more than supporting local produce growers, saving money, and buying local.

East Valley

Schnepf Farms – Queen Creek, AZ

You pick winter squash, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, lettuces, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, black eyed peas, kale, radishes, carrots, beets, turnips, and sugar snap peas in the fall/winter.
You pick zucchini, yellow squash, kale, strawberries, green onions, sweet onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, pickling cucumbers, cabbage, radishes, melons, artichokes, carrots, broccoli, beets, turnips, okra, black eyed peas, red leaf lettuce, swiss chard, and collard greens in the spring/summer.
You pick peaches, apricots, plums, and apples in May and June.

*Currently closed July through August 2014. They will re-open September 4th 2014.

$1.50 per pound for vegetables.
$2.00 per pound for strawberries and peaches.

Remaining Arizona

Fenway Park Orchards – Morristown, AZ

You pick apples, peaches, and pears.

Weekends only, 7:00am to 3:00pm. Call for fruit availability.

Apple Annie’s Orchard – Wilcox, AZ

You pick apples, pears, and peaches.
You pick vegetables: bell peppers, black eye peas, broccoli, chili peppers, cucumbers (pickling and slicing cucumbers), eggplant, green beans, jalapeno peppers, okra, peas, pumpkin, summer squash, tomatoes, and winter squash.

Also available is ready picked fruits and vegetables.

Apple Annie’s PRODUCE and PUMPKINS is open daily July through September, 7:00am to 5:00pm.
Apple Annie’s ORCHARD is open daily, July through September, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Both the orchard and farm are open daily October 1 through October 31 from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
