Magic is taking over ASU Gammage this week….is it really appropriate for the whole family?
I took my family to see The Illusionists last night, opening night, but I was a little worried that it would be too intense for them. My kids are 7 and 12 years old and they love watching magic on TV, but I knew a live show could be more intense and scary and could have more adult themes.
This was our first time going to a live magic – illusion show. We’ve seen probably hundreds of shows on television, but nothing compares to watching it live in front of your eyes.
Hubby and I thought the show was amazing. Our kids loved it and even though there were a few times they were frightened, but we had prepped them and talked to them about how “magic” works and they were totally fine. There were a few references to more adult situations, but most of those references went right over most of the kids heads.
The Illusionists is a fun, exciting, and entertaining show. You get the best of the best tricks from each of the performers.
THE ILLUSIONISTS™ – LIVE FROM BROADWAY™ has shattered box office records across the globe and dazzles audiences of all ages with a powerful mix of the most outrageous and astonishing acts ever to be seen on stage. This non-stop show is packed with thrilling and sophisticated magic of unprecedented proportions.
