ZooLights
In Phoenix, you’ll want to check out ZooLights. When you think about Arizona holiday light displays, you don’t usually think about the zoo, but Zoolights is the perfect event for everyone. While you won’t see much of the animals at this time of the evening, the zoo is still a really fun place to be after dark! Millions of lights illuminate all of your favorite exhibits. Other fun things you’ll experience at ZooLights include live reindeer, a 200-foot Polar Bear slide, and even a 4-D theater! The exhibit runs from November 21, 2018 – January 13, 2019 in the evenings from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
Sedona Northern Lights
You’ll want to make sure you catch the country’s largest 3D light show in Uptown Sedona. This spectacular show of lights is projected on Camelhead Rock and can be seen from from several different viewing areas. Don’t delay on this one, though! The event runs for only four evenings from December 13 through 16, 2018. Shows begin at the top of the hour from 6pm to 9pm.
Glendale Glitters
In Glendale, the 16-block area encompassing the Catlin Court and Old Towne Districts is lit up with over 1.5 million lights for the holiday season. The sparkling event begins November 23, 2018 with the 25th anniversary of the Glendale Glitters Spectacular Weekend. The area continues to be lit up through January 6, 2019. Any night is a beautiful night to visit, but there are also several special weekend events running alongside, like the Glendale Glitters December Holiday Weekend and the Glendale Glitter & Glow Block Party.
Festival of Lights Lake Havasu City
The 23rd Annual Festival of Lights in Lake Havasu City begins on November 23, 2018 and continues through January 5, 2019. It’s held at the London Bridge resort, but you don’t have to be a guest of the resort to enjoy the show. Everyone is welcome to bask in the glow of the over 500,000 lights reflecting on the Bridgewater channel. The man in the red suit will also be there – Santa visits on the day after Thanksgiving. You’ll also find him there every Friday and Saturday from 6-8pm.
Prescott Christmas Parade and Courthouse Lighting
Prescott has been called the Christmas City of Arizona because they know how to celebrate the holiday season! This year’s event is on December 1. First, you’ll enjoy the parade from 1:00pm to 4:00pm located on the streets surrounding the Yavapai County Courthouse. Then at 5:00pm, the courthouse is brilliantly lit up with thousands of lights. It’s an event your entire family will enjoy.
